Procules Still

Jans Still
It's made from a brass 'TEE', a length of 15 mm copper pipe, a length of PVC pipe (batchroomsink drain, app. 36 mm diameter), a couple of screwlids from 5 l. jugs, two gardenhose quickconnectors and lots of epoxyresin.
This contraption is attached to the lid (through the lid) of a juiceextractor, with a thermometer stuck in the 'TEE' for control of the proces. The condenser appears to be horisontal, but that's just the way this picture makes it look. In reality it bends slightly, so the liquid trickles into a container at the open end.

I put 2 l. 40% clean alcohol (I make that in a reflux still) in the pot and let it evaporate through the fruit (diced or sliced) in the topmost part. So far I've made some apple-schnapps that promises well, next run will be with more apples for stronger taste.

Milk Can
This setup looks crude, is crude but it produces damn good vodka.

It also has the advantage of looking like, and in fact being a milking machine bucket.

Geoffs

Toms Soda Canister

The boiler is a 2.5 gallon soda canister. I heat it by securing it in a pot of boiling water, and run it like a double boiler. It works great!

RudeNoise

Brians experiment
Hey I was messing around with some distilling stuff and didnt want my parents to find out :) so I made it small, it works fine and makes about 35-40% alcohol from a 2% wash (i must have fucked up). Not bad for the $10 I spent on it.
